Tuesday Tips

Words of Wisdom

Create interruption-free time. You must have a certain amount of time each day in which you don’t accept interruptions. Create a time each day, put it on your calendar and only in dire emergencies (such as a fire) will that time be interrupted. Utilize the same exact block of time each day for something specific, rather than looking for a free hour here and there.

How We Work

Giving my clients peace of mind and more time to focus on their business is not just my wish for them, it is my promise to them.

My Philosophies & Values

Here at The Efficient Office, I have a few non-negotiable business philosophies when it comes to working with clients. They’re pretty simple. Do business with integrity, honor relationships and have fun! Doing business any other way just doesn’t work for me.  I hope you understand. I’d like to get to know you, your business, and the way you do things, so that helping you identify and resolve your efficiency challenges is easy and a ton of fun for both of us!

I believe in "teaching you how to fish."

There is a Chinese proverb that says, 'Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”  I want you to learn the process so that you can grow and accomplish your future goals on your own.  I love to see my clients achieve their goals.

As we work side by side, I make the process as enjoyable as possible. Clients often report that I am a pleasure to work with. I show empathy for your situation while honoring your natural abilities. However, I still hold you accountable to make the behavioral changes that will get you the results you want. I strive for fun, effectiveness and efficiency.

Okay, let's get started - where do we begin?

1. Consultation
- We start out with a free 30 minute consultation. Prior to this, I will email you my Efficiency Evaluation Questionnaire. It’s a simple form and a great way for me to quickly become familiar your business, your challenges and your goals.

2. Efficiency Assessment - If, after giving you our undivided attention, we seem like a good fit, then we’ll move forward with a thorough Efficiency Assessment where we will:
• Clarify your goals
• Identify productivity challenges
• Assess systems for managing information, data, materials and processes
• Identify methods for planning time and managing projects
If, after an initial conversation it doesn’t seem like we are a good fit, that’s OK. We’re not trying to be a good fine…we want to be a great fit for you and your company.

3. Programs
- From here I offer 3 programs:
• Hands On Organizing - We work side by side, tackling papers and information in a systemic way while establishing workable systems tailored to suit your individual style. No two people are alike, so no two systems are exactly alike. I’ll work with you to set up sustainable solutions that will ensure your success. Together we create a workspace that enhances productivity, as well as creates a sense of calm-control over everything you do
 • Ongoing Maintenance - This service is designed to ensure that we maintain your success. It’s perfect for those busy individuals that have difficulty maintaining their systems on an ongoing basis. Order can be re-established in a short but effective session so that you can get on with your day.
 • Consulting Services - If you’re motivated to do the work yourself and all you need is some direction and support, this option is for you. Accountability is a key component of this service. We stay connected by scheduled face-to-face meetings, or by telephone meetings, to keep you on track with your progress and ensure you are on course with your organizing goals.
